font-weight: bold;">I</span></span>t was a good day yesterday. Yeah, I was destined to watch a great movie, perhaps, the greatest I ever watched, on this day.<br /><br />I got up by 10 AM, quite early for a Sunday, you have to admit. We ( me and Hemanth) had plans to go to the PVR Cinemas that day - to watch 'BLACK'. Frankly this is the first time I am going to watch a movie without reading any of the (Friday!!) reviews. The data I had about the film is that its name is 'BLACK' and Amitabh is there, nothing more - nothing less.<br /><br />The movie started and I came to know that it is about a deaf-mute, blind girl and her teacher. I thought I am not for a serious movie on a Sunday afternoon and was a bit irritated. Then the magic began. As hemanth later said, we forgot what day it was and what time it was. There we were, watching Sanjay Leela Bansali at his creative best. I really was in tears during most part of the movie, hey wait, yeah, I was in TEARS. That day I never cared about people sitting next to me, I didn't want to control my emotions, frankly I was unable to. Then I wanted to check people sitting next to me, they were all in tears, even Hemanth. There were no songs, no heroisms - I never expected, even in my wildest dreams, that such a film will come out of Bollywood, which, in my view is always busy churning out stupid love stories most of the time.<br /><br />Every good thing in life has a ending, and this beautiful creation is no exception. When the film got over, there was a stunned silence in the theatre. Then it happened, the most wonderful thing for any artist, any man who had poured his heart into his creation will long for, the crowd stood up and clapped for a minute. This is a rare gesture and a fitting one for Sanjay Leela Bansali and his team, a priceless gift from the audience.
